| Day 01: FULL DAY:
LAGOON DE LLANGANUCO-CALLEJÓN DE HUAYLAS (B, L) 06 hrs. Arrival
to the city of Huaraz. Reception and transfer to the Hotel. Departure at 9:00
a.m. with destination to the paradisiac Callejón de Huaylas with its typic towns
such as Carhuaz, Caraz, Paltay, Marcara, Ranrahirca, Yungay and the beautiful
Lagoon de Llanganuco (3850 m.s.n), whose waters of turkey colors shows the majesty
of the Huascaran surrounded by the wild tropical flora the highest of the world
and the Huandoy. Typic Lunch in a touristic break in the city of Caraz. In the
return we will visit the artesanal center.of Tarica, arriving aprox at 06:00 p.m.
Overnight. DAY 02: CHAVIN DE HUANTAR (B, L)
Excursion to the Chavin de Huantar ruines, resto milenario y cuna de la civilización
andina que data de 3,000 años de antigüedad, hoy declarado como Patrimonio cultural
del Mundo, visitando en camino la Laguna de Querococha, pueblos como Tambillos,
Machac. Llegando finalmente a Chavin de Huantar. En el Templo de Chavin podremos
observar las Cabezas clavas, el Lanzon, la plaza cuadrada o del sol, la plaza
de la luna o circular, las diferentes galerías, entre otros. Almuerzo típico.
Retorno a Huaraz. Y traslado al terminal para abordar bus con destino a la ciudad
de Trujillo (22:00 hrs). DAY 03: FULL DAY: CIRCUIT
VALLE CHICAMA / ARCHEOLOGICAL COMPLEX EL BRUJO (B, L) Arrival
to the city of Trujillo at 7:30 a.m. aprox. Transfer to the hotel ,breakfast and
short rest.
09:30 hrs. we will travel by Panamericana Norte hightway,
appreciating the cultivated field of sugar cane, visiting the towns of Chicama,
then Chiclín, sugar mill old house, where we will visit the Pérgola and church.
We will pass through the port Malabrigo, where for seasons it is posible to observe
the most big wave of the world. Lunch.Then we will continue the visit to the archaeological
complex of "El Brujo "(the Shaman) containing three large buildings constructed
in different eras: Huaca Prieta, the oldest construction on Peruvian coast; Huaca
El Brujo, a pyramid from the Mochica culture and Huaca Cao Viejo, with an old
Christian church. Actually, scientific works are being done on its magnificent
and recently discovered remains. Return to your selected hotel for overnight. DAY
04: FULL DAY: CHAN CHAN / HUANCHACO (B, L) 09:30 Hrs Early morning
visit to the citadel of Chan Chan (10 minutes from Trujillo), the largest adobe
city in the world, ancient capital of the Chimu Empire (13th Century). After we
are going to the beach and fishing port of Huanchaco where you can watch the fishermen
surfing the waves in their traditional "Caballitos de Totora", little reed boats
used by northern Peruvians for fishing since pre Inca times. Afternoon return
to Trujillo. Overnight. DAY 05: TRUJILLO: SUN AND
MOON TEMPLE (B) - CHICLAYO 09:00 hrs we will iniciate the trip
with a short journey to the south, passing by the open country of Moche, place
of small farmers with its owns customs and food. Visit the enormous adobe constructions
built by the Mochica culture in the 5th century, called Temple of the Sun, considered
the largest adobe pyramid in Peru, and the Temple of the Moon, housing an extensive
burial ground and some fine polychrome murals in which their deity is often printed.
Is believed that both were complementary, one administrative and the other religious.
Return to the city. Transfer to the bus station to go to the city of Chiclayo
(15:00 hrs aprox). Reception and transfer to the hotel in Chiclayo 18:00 hrs.
Overnight. DAY 06: FULL DAY: HUACA RAJADA-SIPÁN
/ ROYALS TOMBS MUSEUM (B, L) Transfer to Huaca Rajada - Sipan,
archeological complex situated in the 33 km. at the south east of Chiclayo. We
will then start the visit to the Royal Cemetery where we will find the Tomb of
the Lord of Sipan, formed by five intact tombs belonging to the Mochica nobility
and discovered in June 1987 by the archeologist Walter Alva. After lunch we will
visit the Royal Tombs , this museum give us a general view of the Mochicas customs
where we will observe the original pieces that where discovered Return to the
hotel. lodging. DAY 07: FULL DAY: SICAN MUSEUM
/ BATAN GRANDE / TÚCUME - PYRAMIDS VALLEY (B, L) In the morning
we will go to Ferreñafe where we will visit the Sican Museum inagurated in may
2000. You will observe a variaty of pieces of the Sican Culture, ceramics, jewelry
as well as recreation of their way of living. Lunch. Then we will go to Batan
Grande Complex which is located in what in oldest times was the Batangrande cattle
which is probably the most important pre hispanic metallurgical center in south
america. Then we will visit Tucume, situated 33 km. from North of Chiclayo, where
the Pyramids Valley is located, formed by 26 adobe monumental buildings, which
evidence the most outstanding period of Lambayeque culture, in this visit we will
know Las Estacas Huaca, Mirador, Large Huaca, among others. Return to Chiclayo.
Lunch. At around 6 p.m., we will start the trip by bus towards Chachapoyas (10
hours journey). In the way we will see the paradisiacal Lagoon of Pomacochas,
situated on the right border of Utcubamba River at 2000 m.a.s.l. Return to the
hotel. Overnight. DAY 08: CHICLAYO - CAJAMARCA
/ KUNTUR WASI TEMPLE (B) Early morning transfer to Chiclayo bus
station for a 3-hour drive to the city of Cajamarca, passing by the towns of Chepen,
the dam and irrigation works of Gallito Ciego, and the town of Chilete. Upon arrival
in Cajamarca, transfer to hotel. Afternoon bus transfer to the district of San
Pablo where Kuntur Wasi is located, a pre Inca religious and administrative center
recently discovered by archaeologists of the University of Tokyo (Japan). Return
to the city of Cajamarca. Overnight. DAY 09: FULL
DAY: CUMBEMAYO / VENTANILLAS DE OTUZCO (B, L) Breakfast, visit
to Cumbemayo, appreciating the inca's aqua duct , the stone forest, the sanctuary
and the famous monks; at midday lunch. Visit to the ex- farm ' La Collpa', district
of Llanacora. We're going to apréciate waterfalls, Callacpuna cave, the Inca's
Baths, Inca's well, 'perolitos'. After lunch we will visit the ventanillas de
Otuzco. On Llanguil Hill, only 8 km northeast from the City of Cajamarca, there
are living rock excavations, appearing at a distance to be multiple array of windows.
The so-called Ventanillas (Niches) of Otuzco (2,850m.a.s.l.) are actually part
of an old cemetery of the Cajamarca Culture, which niches are neatly arranged
in rows. Apparently, this was an important place for honoring ancestors, which
remains may have been removed from their original tombs to be deposited in this
necropolis.Return to the hotel. Overnight. DAY
10: CITY TOUR - CUARTO DE RESCATE / PORCON FARM (B, L) Breakfast.
City tour where we will know the most important places: The Main Square, San Francisco
Church; the Cathedral, which is famous for its impressive facade engraved in volcanic
rock. Belen, ancient hospital dating from the Viceroyship times. The Archaeological,
Ethnographic and Religious Museum. The Room of Rescue, which was filled twice
with silver and once with gold by the Inca Atahualpa. The Hill St. Apolonia, splendid
natural belvedere from where the City and the Valley can be seen; and the Chair
of the Inca. Lunch the we will visit the porcon farm. The Atahualpa Jerusalem
Cooperative or Porcón Farm, as it is also known, is an excellent sample of peasant
work, offering visitors the opportunity of participating in different agricultural
or livestock tasks. Actually, in addition to the traditional crops of the former
hacienda, the livestock business has been successfully developed, including cattle
and camelidae. There are also deer, ocelots, monkeys and eagles. In Porcón, 30
km northeast from Cajamarca (116 km from Lower Porcón) at 3,400m.a.s.l, an exemplary
reforestation process has been carried out, responsible for the recovery of 10,000
ha of forest. Return to the hotel. Overnight. DAY
11: CAJAMARCA / LIMA (B) Morning at leisure for personal activities.
At the appropriate time you will be transfered to the airport or bus station to
